The device is delivered in a cardboard box with a blue lid on which the name of the smartphone model is applied.

On the back you can see the main characteristics of the device.

The smartphone is made in the format that first appearedin the mass market in Xiaomi Mix. The smartphone itself is compact: 146x71 mm, about 9 mm thick, with a mass of 150 grams. A device with a screen diagonal of 5.5 inches no longer seems a "shovel." The frame of the smartphone is made of metal.
The screen closes the rounded 2.5D glass Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

The smartphone has no upper frame. The conversational lattice of the speaker is shifted closer to the end.

The front camera is shifted to the bottom frame.

The back panel is glossy plastic, moderately soiled, but not bad. Parts fit well, without gaps, but under pressure the lid bends slightly.
On the back panel is a circle of the main camera and a fingerprint sensor. To the left of the camera - LED flash.

Below they printed the golden inscription DESIGNED BY BLUBOO.

At the bottom there are: a speaker, a microphone and a microUSB port between them.

3.5 mm headphone jack located on the top.

The left side of the Bluboo D5 Pro carries: volume rocker and on / off / lock key. They sit tight, almost without a backlash, and do not rattle if you shake the smartphone. There was a feeling that this is a smartphone for left-handers. However, you quickly get used to this feature.

A hybrid tray for cards is placed on the right side.

It allows you to install a Micro-SIM card, a microSD flash drive or another SIM card, but in Nano format.

Bluboo D5 Pro is equipped with an IPS format 18 display:9 with a diagonal of 5.5 "and a resolution of 1280x640. The pixel density reaches about 260 PPI. This seems to be small, but since the screen is quite bright and juicy, there is no shortage of resolution. The picture looks smooth and clear unless you specifically try to view the pixels. The brightness is quite high, it's a pity, its automatic adjustment is not provided.

With the help of MiraVision technology, you can customize the display image for yourself.

In order to display more information on the smartphone screen, the navigation keys can be hidden in the menu - they are called back by a swipe along the bottom edge.

But with multitouch not everything is so rosy - the displayable to simultaneously handle only two touches. Responsiveness of the touchscreen is average: there are no obvious delays and blunders, but in order to enter characters located at the edges of the screen, sometimes you need to aim.

The device is equipped with a budget MediaTek chipsetMT6737. It has 4 cores with a frequency of up to 1.3 GHz. Responsible for the video graphics accelerator ARM Mali T720 MP2. The RAM in the smartphone is installed 3 GB, the drive holds 32 GB. There is a slot for a memory card, there is also support for external OTG drives. As for ultrabudgetary smartphone, the set is very decent.
Smartphone performance is of course low, butto perform basic tasks is quite sufficient. A low resolution of the display, and decent amounts of memory. Web surfing, watching videos, instant messengers - it all works without hints on the brakes. At the same time, the smartphone is practically not heated in operation.
In Antutu, the smartphone showed the result - 35,520 “parrots”

AIDA64 test

Geekbench 4 Test

Of course, "hard" games are difficult for a smartphone, but playing at low settings is quite acceptable.

From the box we get the bare Android version 7.0 and its native interface. Foreign software is not installed, as for me it is even good. The interface works smartly.

Settings menu.

For security, the Bluboo D5 Pro is providedfingerprint scanner. By itself, it is not bad, it works quickly and clearly, but only on the condition that you do not use the case. It’s harder to get into close contact with your finger, because the sensor is recessed, so sometimes it’s impossible to unlock a smartphone the first time.

There is support for most modern wireless interfaces. Supports two SIM cards. Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, A-GPS, Wi-Fi. There is support for LTE.

There are two separate slots on the smartphone, so the first one is designed for a microSIM card, the second one is combined - you can install either a nanoSIM card or a memory card into it.
Audibility during telephone conversations is quite decent. As always, one SIM card can work in 2G / 3G / 4G networks. The second slot, according to the engineering menu, is designed only for 2G networks.

Phone application, sms standard, no innovations here.

According to information from the manufacturers, the smartphone has a battery capacity of 2700 mAh. I checked it with a tester. Taking into account the discount on the error, the result was close to the declared capacity.

In the video playback mode via YouTube onThe average screen brightness of the smartphone lasted about six hours. In standby mode, the device lasts more than a day. From 0 to 90% of the charge is replenished about 2 hours, but the last 10% is filled for about an hour.

The main camera Bluboo D5 Pro has a resolution of 8 megapixels, interpolation up to 13 megapixels. As for the budget smartphone, it gives quite acceptable picture quality.
In the settings of the camera there are such items, changing the exposure, white balance, as well as changing the image parameters - saturation, sharpness, contrast, and so on.

Pros:
• inexpensive
• excellent display
• attractive design and compact size
• 4G support
• Fingerprint's scanner
Minuses:
• battery only 2700 mAh.
• two touch multitouch
• no notification indicator
• no light sensor and event indicator
