Flat USB 3.0 Hub

I think now about the shelf above the keyboard (such as - I don’t want to buy, I’ll do it better myself). And it occurred to me that there must be usb ports on the side (it’s on the side, I don’t want it from above). For this, a maximally flat hub was found with the desired port arrangement and a detachable cable.
Delivery Sent on November 12, arrived 26, received 28.
A tracking track was provided by RMxxxxxx CN.
TTX The sizes correspond to those declared by the seller: 11 cm x 4.2 cm x 1 cm.
Weighs 34 grams (without cable). It's a little harder, the seller claims 33 grams.
The length of the supplied cable with connectors is 39 cm (42 claimed).
Case material - aluminum, with plastic inserts.
Colors - black, silver, red. I chose red.
Pictures supplied in box:

Hub and short cable included:

Four ports on one side. They are located close enough, because thick devices can block the neighboring port.

The side ends are plastic, on one of them is a cable connector.

The second is empty, do not connect external power.

I don’t want to disassemble, yet I’ll break it off.
Speed test Checked for SSD in a Zalman VE350 container.
Direct connection:

Connection via the hub:

The test was performed several times, with different file sizes (up to 16 gigabytes), the results changed little. So there is a drop in speed, but a slight one.
But on a laptop, the test looked more strange.
Direct connection:
Sequential Read (Q = 32, T = 1): 252.096 MB / s
Sequential Write (Q = 32, T = 1): 156.760 MB / s
Random Read 4KiB (Q = 32, T = 1): 9.285 MB / s [2266.8 IOPS]
Random Write 4KiB (Q = 32, T = 1): 26.320 MB / s [6425.8 IOPS]
Sequential Read (T = 1): 304.499 MB / s
Sequential Write (T = 1): 161.464 MB / s
Random Read 4KiB (Q = 1, T = 1): 6.632 MB / s [1619.1 IOPS]
Random Write 4KiB (Q = 1, T = 1): 25.991 MB / s [6345.5 IOPS]

Through the hub:
Sequential Read (Q = 32, T = 1): 202.957 MB / s
Sequential Write (Q = 32, T = 1): 155.916 MB / s
Random Read 4KiB (Q = 32, T = 1): 7.775 MB / s [1898.2 IOPS]
Random Write 4KiB (Q = 32, T = 1): 26.239 MB / s [6406.0 IOPS]
Sequential Read (T = 1): 281.651 MB / s
Sequential Write (T = 1): 156.023 MB / s
Random Read 4KiB (Q = 1, T = 1): 6.779 MB / s [1655.0 IOPS]
Random Write 4KiB (Q = 1, T = 1): 24.385 MB / s [5953.4 IOPS]

Decrease in productivity on "Sequential Read (Q = 32, T = 1)" by 20%. At the same time, the rest of the tests are small.
Verdict: A completely decent hub. For my purposes it’s quite suitable. It’s also a good option for a “traveling” hub, it won’t take up much space in the bag.
As a permanent desktop hub, I would not recommend it because of the size, it is better to look at something more solid, with a large distance between the ports.
